Question: i know this is a silly question, but what is the difference between a bad cold and the flu?? I mean are there symptoms we get with the flu that are different from just having a bad cold?"?thanks for any help you can give

A cold just makes you feel lousy (sinus congestion, cough, headache) but the flu is more serious...it causes cold symptoms, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, pain (all over body pain)...the flu makes you feel like you have to die to feel better! The flu is also very deadly to very young and the elderly because of dehydration. There are different strains of flu and it is important to get vaccinated each year as the flu mutates.

flu: usually pains in your stomach and back, vomiting for 1-2 days, sometimes a sore throat

bad cold: coughing, sneezing, no vomiting, stuffy and runny nose

hope i helped =]
