This can be a couple of different things. It may be just normal. Your pulse can be felt in many different parts of the body. But I am more inclined to say, you probably have high blood pressure. You should start checking your blood pressure at pharmacies, inside stores that have them, or with a home blood pressure machine. Write the numbers down on a piece of paper with the date and time. Then take it to your doctor appointment. This way he/she can determine if you do have hypertension and if so what medication would be best for you. If you top number is over 140, or your bottom number is over 90, you need to call your doctor that day and let them know you need an appointment ASAP, to discuss your blood pressure issues. Don't forget to take your blood pressure log/paper with you. Also work on decreasing your salt intake. That may help. Hypertension does increase the risk of stroke and heart attacks, so this is an important issue that you do need to take seriously.

lol theres many places you can get a pulse from even from your head. but maybe try and turn down the music..... it should not be higher than 50 to 70% of the maximum volume. see if that works and also if you think you have high blood pressure go take your pressure. it should be no more than 180/20dl/mg if its a little bit higher thats okay

Do you have the headphones on a lot? If taking off the headphones makes the throbbing stop, you already know what's causing it.
