It is possible to have chlamydia for a long time and not know. It is extremely possible. I have talked to a doctor once and they verified it and also it is possible to have the trace of it for a long time before actually getting it.

If you think you may have it then get off the computer and go to a clinic. That is completely irresponsible to not have yourself tested for 4 or 4 years, assuming it is you. It is also how disease is passed from person to person if you didn't know this by now. If it is you then shame shame, you should slapped across the head for being stupid.

yes it is possible to have chlamydia and never know it, that is why it is called a silent STD. Sometimes symptoms never show or are so minor no one notices. You should be tested regularly anyhow for general health. It can also remain dormant for that long but can cause long term damage esp. for women. Go to a doctor for you own sake.

You could definitely have it for that long; it won't go away without treatment. I totally understand your question. I had it for about 6 months and didn't know it. I chalked my "symptoms" up to other things because they came and went with my menstrual cycle. I had discomfort and pressure around the time of ovulation every cycle and it would all disappear when I started my period the next cycle. My pelvic area just felt full and I felt like I had to urinate all the time.
If you think you might have it, go see your doctor. Left untreated it can cause Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, which can lead to infertility/sterility.
I hope this helps. Take care.
