I think I might have an std but I really have no idea? Please help.?!

Question: Every once in a while I have a spot or two that shows up on my outer labia. I'm not exactly sure how to explain its a red bump and the skin in the middle is soft and feels kind of sunken in and has the purple/brown coloring of a bruise under the skin. After a week or two they clear up and then come back after a few months or sometimes longer. Its normally not painful unless pressure is put on the spot. I know the coloring is from blood because I've had one open and bleed before, which was painful but has only happened once. This has been going on for two years now, I guess I'm just scared to go to a doctor or ask questions.

Going to a doctor when you have the lesion is the best way to find out what it is. Why have you waited 2 years, if your having sex without a condom you could pass it on to the guy. Is that what you want? It may be herpes or it may just be a sore. IF its herpes you just have to live with the idea and take precautions when you have sex. Be a responsible woman and take responsibility for your sexual choices.

get to the dr and check it out., You may be having a very mild case of herpes...It's not deadly but you can easily pass it on to someone else even when the sore isn't active. they do have medicines to help with it these days. It still isn't curable but you can control it better. Get checked out. It doesn't hurt. While at it, have them run tests for all STD just to make sure you don't have anything else. Then always use protection.

Next time this happens please go to the doctor, they can make a better diagnosis if they visibly see it. You are not going to get your answer here because it may or may not be .

One person is wrong, it sounds like Herpes and, it's never "mild" it's just not a full outbreak.

Don't touch or scratch, it's hard, Make an appointment with the doctor, don't be afraid, he's seen worse.
Do not involve yourself in sex until you know for sure what you have. You can try some Hydrocortosne cream 1% over the counter for itching until you see the doctor. It will get worse if not treated right. Very contagous.

It could be herpes or syphillus which can be treated but if left untreated could lead to death.

Also, I am amused at the assumption that you are atraight by one person who says that you could pass it on to any boyfriends. You could pass it on to ANY sexual partner-regardless of sex!
