try to wash it with water, warm, until all of a surface stuff is gone. it is unpleasant. apply a zovirax,or anything what is sold in a pharmacy without need of a Rx and it will get better. good luck

    carmax...
lmao, also.. some older lady at work was saying she uses earwax and it works really fast, but i can't see anyone putting earwax by their ear.
but carmax always works nice for me.

not pleasant, but what you need to do is this..get a wash cloth wet with really warm (nearly hot) water. Hold this on the cold sore until that yellow stuff gets soft, then wipe it off, it may bleed a bit but this will help to form that scab, then hold your breath and add rubbing alcohol to the cold sore, this will dry it up. SOMETHING MUCH BETTER FOR YOU : contact your dentist and explain that you get cold sores, ask him/her if they can prescribe ZOVIRAX OINTMENT .5MG. When you feel a cold sore coming on, all you do is put this ointment on the area, and you will not even get the cold sore. If you are a bit late, it will be so tiny, no one will even notice it! Also, you can ask if they can prescribe ACYCLOVIR 200mg capsules to be taken by mouth every 4-6 hours as needed. This will help to avoid even getting a cold sore. Cold sores happen when people get upset, over anxious, nervous, or really excited and worried, or sick, like a cold or high temp. Also after a sunburn or a lot of sun. If you know you may be any of the above take that pill and you won't get the cold sore. Once you get a cold sore, you will get them off and on for the rest of your life.so be prepared! If you don't have a dentist, your family doctor or obgyn should be able to help as well.

    Most important:

Do not touch it, as you could spread it to other parts of your face and possibly to other people:)

I would gets some Abreva from the drugstore and apply that (and to have it around in case you feel another one coming on- you get that tingle feeling)
