Lately, I have been getting small, red, dot-like bruises. Has anyone had this be!

Question: Roughly a few weeks ago, I had a small, red, dot-like bruises on my inner arm. I figured that I just bumped myself. It went a way and a few days later I had the same thing under my watch. I always wear the same watch, so I had no idea what this could be. A few days later it looked like I had a small, red, dot on my tongue (this was painful). Then this went away and last night I noticed another bruise. Under my chin (neck area) I have about 10 dot-like, red bruises.

Note: None of these bruises hurt (except for the tongue thing). They do not turn black and blue. They stay looking like broken red blood vessels and then disappear within a few days.

Any ideas?

Um, in all seriousness, I would go see a doctor if I were you. I am not saying for any flip reason, I am being serious. Definitely see a doctor immediately. The details of why I say that, I will not go into here. Just see a doctor immediately and get his opinion.

Besides, this is the internet, I'm sure that plenty of non-qualified people here would discourage you from that and say a bunch of misleading or flip ideas anyway like they know it all... and in what you described, I don't think anyone here (except maybe a good doctor) would be righteously qualified to give you that opinion.

sounds like a bacterial infection...
if you went to the beach lately it might be from that..
or ecolii contamination junk..my hubby had some symptoms like that and he got it from the water at santa monica beach
so im just saying what it sounds like so dont flip out just yet

You sound like you have a petechial rash. Last year, I came down with a condition caused ITP. This condition is when all or some of the platelets in your body are destroyed, causing you to bleed excessively. I bled from my gums and under my skin. I had thousands of red spots on me. I got scared because I though I had something worse. ITP isn't really bad actually. I don't think you have ITP though, because it would have struck you down by now (you said you've had these spots for weeks). You can get it in mild cases however. If you bruise easily then you may have ITP.

go see a doctor and get checked out for leukaemia, i have lymphoblastic type leukaemia and get them.
