Why are my daughters platlet levels rising and she is anemic?!
Question: she is 2 years old and has had a cold for 5 months.the doc keeps giving me cough meds and antibiotics, not helping. now she is taking liquid vita. with iron. she is pale and her lips turn purple when shes cold, she did have a hole in her heart but it closed. i am at my wits end

Second opinion. You may want to go to a heart doc if possible and make sure the hole in her heart is still closed and that her heart is working properly. Also, to rule out sickle cell anemia, perniscious anemia (which neither of these types of anemia would be helped with simple iron supplements), leukemia or other potential blood problems.
take her to the hosital doctors say ANYFNK is a virus or wat ever and most of the time it isnt take her and see wat they say
Seek another opinion. Take her to a University specialist if you have to. She could have iron deficiency anemia. Good Luck!
