Touching my face at night and getting acne?!

Question: How to prevent this please! I wake up every morning with a new zit on my nose or between my eyes or on my cheek it's HORRIBLE! I've never had acne before! I know not to pop it, but how to stop the redness and swelling and prevent from happening again? I don't touch my face during the day, and I am one of the healthiest people at my school, but lately I've been eating more chocolate than I should. I workout every day. So what should I do?

Try using a new pillowcase everynight, your hands might not be the only source of infection. This and washing your hands before you go to bed might be all you need to do. And of course, keep your nails clean and trimmed. Lot's of yucky germs under fingernails.
If you want to use gloves, fine, and you can use the opportunity to have nice soft hands, too. Just put a little handcream under the gloves [use white cotton ones], and you will have nice pretty or handsome, as the case may be, hands.
I would not recommend wearing hospital gloves all night. They don't breathe, and you might sweat in them, causing yet another source of infection.
Another trick is to use a separate washcloth for your face, and change it daily. The big bargain discount department stores like Walmart sell white washcloths in a bundle for not a lot of money. Get the white ones, so that when you wash them, you can use bleach to clean them, and not worry about washing out the color. And wash them separately from the rest of the towels. Contrary to common thought, the washing machine does not remove all the germs from our laundry.
I use foam pillows at home, I have bought pillow case covers, and put 2 pillow cases on the pillow over the cover. That way, I do not contaminate the pillow with germs. And I can just take off the top pillowcase, and still have a clean one underneath.
If your pillow is yucky, that is a source of infection, also. Get a new one, and better yet, get two, one to leave and let the germs die on their own with some help from some antibacterial Febreeze,[strip off the linens, use the Febreeze, and let it sit]. and one to use. Switch them off every few days.
Supposedly, chocolate does not affect acne, but your workout, and what you use on your face after it, can. Wash your face with clean soap and washcloth after each workout, sweat is a great medium for germs. And I would not recommend using any towels or soap that anyone else has used, or will use. Acne is Staphlococcus, and is contagious.
Cleanliness will help control the zit production.

try wearing gloves when you sleep.

I didn't start getting acne until I was 29. I was touch my face at night also. Have not found a way to stop that, but the gloves idea sounds good.

I went to a dermatologist and the presciption stuff didn't work. I tried Mary Kay, didn't work; Proactive, didn't work.

The only thing that HAS WORKED is Almay's skin care. I use the yellow set (for oily skin). It contains meadow sweet. The foaming face wash, toner, oil control lotion. I still use various other brands of makeup
