Do you have pierced ears? If so, it sounds like a keloid scar, which many people with pierced earlobes have. The left over fiberous connections, collagen and elastin in the scar tissue that formed grow into a hard scar around the foreign body in your healed 'wound' - your piercing.

If not, does it hurt or leak fluid? If you suspect an infection, see your doctor. It could possibly be an under-skin sebaceous cyst, whereby a follicle or gland in your skin becomes blocked with sebum (the body's natural oil). Sebaceous cysts can often be removed by gently massaging the area to disperse the blockage.

Infection! Ask your doctor or it might get worse...

its probably undergrown acne. use acne body washes to help it. if it isnt growing, dont worry about it.

if you have your ear peirced its perfectly normal its just bunched up tissue...bbut if you dont its robabely an infection and you may want to get it checked up on.
