Vomiting Blood...???!

Question: Tonight I think I may have vomited up blood. I'm not sure if it was blood though, what came up was a medium brownish/slight tint of red color... Looking closely, you could see tiny tiny little specs/streaks of what looked like the bright red color you expect blood to look like but not all of it had these tiny specs/streaks very few spots did. So i'm not sure if I have vomited blood or not. Now throughout the day i've had an unexplainable pain in my esophagus area. It's not an intense pain, and it's easy to ignore but it is still present, I can feel it more now after i've puked.

I've also eaten food thats would explain the brown coloring. The second time I threw up it was a darker color.

I also should note, that when I had puked... I could taste a LOT of stomach acid.

I guess my question is this... What could be causing the blood if it is blood, and what should I be worried about?

I'm planning to make a doctors appointment first thing in the morning. It's 1am where I am now

Constant exposure of stomach acids to the esopphagus is never good and can cause eventual bleeding. Blood source can also stem from the stomach itself, such as bleeding ulcer.

Unchecked bleeding ulcers can cause eventual death because you bled to death.

Either way, you need to see a physician immediately instead of ignoring this problem. Sorry to be so grim, but this is not something to trifle about. Please go to ER or to a walk-in clinic to have this addressed

It would probably be more conductive to your living if you went to the emergency room rather than wait until tomorrow.

You could have internal bleeding and if that is the case you can go downhill before you know you're in trouble.
