I stepped on a thumbtack do i need a tetanus shot?!

Question: Specifically was the thumbtack rusty? I thought you only needed one of those shots if the object was rusty. But as the other person said if you had a shot in the past 10 years you should be in the clear. Just watch for anything unusual around the wound.
