What are some healthy habits to consider in reducing any forms of Cancer?!

Question: No smoking is one of them , anything else ?

Answers: No smoking is one of them , anything else ?

Scientific research suggests that maintaining a healthy and diverse diet can also increase your chances of avoiding and/or fighting cancer. Such diets entail essential anti-carcineginec compounds such as lycopene (found in tomatoes), Carotenoids (found in carrots and other vegetables) and other similar substances. Though this research is not entirely conclusive (since Cancer has no realy cure) they do effectively raise your chances of avoiding the disease. Hope this helps!

don't eat too many grilled meats the blackened bits are supposed to cause cancer

Eat healthy, stay away from places with heavy pollution, cut down on medications, try not to get sick a lot. ask local doctors for more

too much red meat

To cut your risk of cancer, heart disease, attack, stroke, obesity, tumors, by 85% AT LEAST,

COMPLETELY CUT OUT ALL MEAT FROM YOUR DIET.

http://goveg.com/ ---VERY great site that explains how to reduce risks by cutting out meat.

Avoid pesticide residues.
Eat Fish.

Request lowest-dose imaging.

There are so many:-

1. no processed foods;

4. exercise regularly;

5. avoid the use of perfumed or sodium laural sulphate containing products.

Any foods that are burnt(barbecue, flame grilled etc) are known to cause Cancer,as are hot dog weiners, and recently even working the graveyard shift is now a known carcenigen(cancer causer). It has to do with your body's patterns being thrown off, which leds me to think that stress is also a big factor in reducing your chances of getting Cancer. The Canadian Cancer Society. Ca has a good website with a complete list of what doctors think cause cancer.

Hi,

If you get a change read this book:

The China Study

http://www.thechinastudy.com/about.html

, First: Drink plenty of water (alkaline if possible) everyday.

Second: Eat healthy, by this I mean: most of your diet should consist all of kinds of raw greens, germinated seeds, some fruit between meals, little fish. In general, foods that are highly alkaline (ph balance) and not acid.

Third: Control your stress.

Fourth: Do exercise daily.

Fifth: Do not smoke or drink alcohol.

For more "open eye information" I suggest you to go to:
any web site associate with Dr. Robert Young and his books about the PH MIRACLE.

You will not be disappointed.

Wishing you good health always

The diet side of things is a load of crap as my brother in law did all the correct things when it came to diet, besides not drinking alcohol and he is in hospital right now as I type this, slowly dying from cancer. He even went to Melbourne to do the Ian Gawley course re foods and juices and what to have and what not to have. Eat what you like and enjoy what life you have left, but sugar is suppose to be bad for cancer patients. Have anything in moderation .

You can reduce the risk of cancer by
-exercising regularly
-eat less red meat and more fresh veggies and fruits
-no smoking
-no alcohol excess
But it is no guarantee that it won't happen!
After getting cancer all diet cures are nonsense.

All the suggestions re diet and exercise are excellent for your general health. But most of them reflect the writer's own prejudices and fears rather than established facts about cancer.

Smoking has been linked to lung and some other cancers, and sun exposure to skin cancer. Beyond that little is known for sure about causes of cancer.

I have been a vegetarian (no meat) for most of my life., and a vegan (no animal products of any kind) for 12 years. I exercise regularly, eat organic, loads of fruit and veg, juice, don't smoke, use Green People lotions and creams and Ecover cleaning products... none of this prevented me form being diagnosed with cancer four years ago,

Someone has mentioned stress; there is no actual evidence that stress causes or affects the course of any cancer.

It is easier and less frightening for people who have not had cancer to blame cancer on an individual's lifestyle - diet, stress, lack of exercise - than to accept that cancer is a random disease that can strike any of us at any time.

A good question, one answer would be to avoid chemotherapy and radiotherapy and adopt a natural "back to basics" lifestyle.

Also, don't look for a "cure" ( the method to treat symptoms), rather seek health and healing, that's what I did and recovered.
Good luck.
