Hey, I'm 16 and i have the same problem. not super bad acne but noticable none the less. Yeah i know proactiv doesn't work, same thing happened with me lol. But i use Oxy. Its really good! It's cleared up my skin sooo much. And i recommend going to a dermatologist, mine put me on pills to take every night and a gell called DifferenGel to put on before bed. Hope this advice works. Oh and the medication I'm on for it is called Sulfameth/Trimethoprim if you decide to ask your dermatologist about it. Hope things get better for you, it has worked wonders for me. =)

i didn't have this till i was in my 20's and my great grandma used to use Witch Hazel and it works. its like rubbing alchol but not as Strong and don't burn at all give it a try! our elders used it!

First and foremost, i wanna say try going to a dermatologist if it bothers you that much. They can give you medicated scrubs/masks/pills that'll definitely get them to go away.

The chlorine might have an effect, but im not positive. Also it might be from sweating while/after swimming (although you might not know it) and/or the chlorine drying on your face too long after you get out of the pool. Try washing your face right after you get out of the pool, getting the pores clean might help.

I was a swimmer as well and yes the chlorine is a factor. It sounds to me like you may have too dry of skin. You may need to moisturize more. What happens with the cholorine is it sucks all your natural oils out of your skin so that after your done swimming your face is making much more then is needed. I would wash my face right after you get out of the pool and then put lotion on as well. I hope that helps. Good luck.

well im 16 and proactiv works for me but it takes a while to work.
chlorine is actually good for ur skin
if u swim in a pool with it ur face will clear up fast, but thats a problem if its winter. unless u swim in an indoor pool just to keep ur skin clear.
in the summer time i dont rele have to wash my face b.c the chlorine clears my face up!!!
give proactiv another try or just try acnefree or something else

Hey, i went to the doctors about a month ago for another minor reason and he said he can see signs of acne appearing, and this worried me and i was using the ordinary spot creams clearasil etc but they didn't work as intended. So he gave me some tablets and a pad thing to use daily and i got to say, it worked, no there not gone, but what was appearing has gone and i am still using the stuff he gave me. So go to your doctor and ask for advice and see what he says and what he has. A thing that normally helped me is fresh air, the sun etc anything that dries out your face especially the sun (hot sunny day) and then using moisturizer after as your face sort of dries all the spots out and they start to go.
