hey loser, you need to rest and drink stuff, not mountain dew or energy drinks either, you need water, or gatorade, or propel

people get over it at different speeds. The best thing you can do is follow yoru doctor's instructions and get plenty of rest and fluids. If you try to do too much before you're completely well, it will take longer to go away

Unfortunately, Mono (either EBV-Epstein-Barr virus or CMV -cytomegalovirus) is lifelong. Most people who don't have immune disease sometimes complain of having fatigue and fever and nothing else. This is a flare up of mono. Is there anything you can do? Well if you can avoid stress, that would be helpful. Have a good diet. These are all kind of standard answers, but in reality the only thing that will help is time. No medicine will help.
Hope this helps,
Sincerely,
Doc
PS about 80% of the population has either EBV or CMV

I have EBV. Mono is a result of ebv. I didn't know what was wrong with me for about 4 months. I went to the doctor and was tested for tons of stuff. It took me about 5-6 months to actually have energy. I quit drinking coffee completely. Started taking a b-complex vitamin and a fish oil supplement. I also started to force myself into a stretching and light exercise routine. It was hard but it pays off. Mono affects everybody differently. Although, I believe the older you are the longer it may last but not as intense as it would if you were a kid. At least you can have a reason to be lazy.
