Where can I talk to people with cancer?!
Question: I was recently assigned a project by my local court to interview someone with a smking related illness because I was caught smoking underage. I was wondering if anyone knew any organization that could help me.

I am 24, had my first cig at 13, started smoking reg at 15. I was diagnosed with leukemia (which is a smoking related cancer) 3 years ago at 21. I finally quit smoking this past spring.

You could probably go to the nearest nursing home or hospital and talk with someone on the staff about your assignment. They might have a patient that has lung cancer or know where you can go to find someone who does. It would really benefit you in the long run, to NOT smoke. It makes people age before their time and they're VERY expensive. Life's too short to make it shorter by smoking your life away! You're young. The people that already have lung cancer don't have the choice to change their situation. You do! Please make better choices for yourself. You'll regret it if you don't!
