You have to get rid of all of the nits. They are all the lice eggs. The shampoo kills the live lice but some of the eggs can remain viable and hatch a whole new batch. You may have to find the nits one by one. Depending on the amount of infestation that could range from a couple of dozen to thousands. They are mostly found near the ears on the side of the head and the base of the hairline on the back of your neck. Buy a regular fine tooth comb they work better than the combs that come in the kits to pull them out. You may have to pull them off by hand, pulling the nits down the complete length of the hair. The glue the lice use to attach the nits to the hair shaft is very tough.

ok u have to get lice killing shampoo, then comb ur hair with the lice comb, and then u have to take out the lice urself

Try head and shoulders. Maybe you are around someone with lice you dont know and it keeps coming back.

hmm i would do everyones hair, wash everything twice, use lice spray... i dont know, we just had them and doing everything once got them good

Follow the directions on the shampoo exactly. Either throw out or clean anything your head has come into contact with. and by clean I don't mean washing I mean make it impossible for the lice to live on it anymore.

If the lice continue call your public health nurse. They can help you get rid of them for good.

Cetaphil - put it on the hair, then blow dry. Wash everything (sheets, pillow cases, stuffed animals) in the hottest water you can. Be sure to wash all hats and scarves also.

Go to a doctor and he will give you a prescription, only the prescription stuff worked when my kids were young. It really wiped them out.

okay well dont panic and get the lice shampoo and take the comb they give you with the small bristles and then like literally get your mom or friend to like comb it out for you it may take a while but it will work!! i promise i had lice

You might have to wash your hair a few times with the shampoo and you also have to do your whole family at the same time, plus everything that you come in contact with has to be cleaned ,clothes, beds, couches... If nothing works then I would see the doctor and have him prescribe something stronger. My daughter had it once for about 2 months until I went to the doctor and got some antibiotics, they were gone in less then a week.

Hi, remember that it takes 2 weeks for the eggs to hatch, and you will NEED to use the shampoo prepared for lice deletion at that time, as well. Keep washing the sheets, pillow case, and everything your hair touches. It WILL go away.
