Has anyone had an infant with acid reflux?!
Question: My son is 4 mos. old and was just diagnosed with it last week and he is constantly crying and not so happy. He has an appt with the doctor on Friday but have any of you experienced this with your baby? Please tell me some stories and give me advice.

Back in the day they called it colic. These days, it's the same thing, just a fancy name. They say it is acid reflux, and prescribe Prevacid. It doesn't help much, and neither will the formula change they will suggest next. He will have a rock hard stomach, and will scream and cry a lot. My first born had it bad back in 1980, nothing the doctors tried helped at all, and the only thing that worked was 2% milk. I had to start it at 4 1/2 months. The doctors said not to, but I ignored them, and it was instantly cured, with no ill effects. Now my grandson has it, and they prescribed Prevacid, no help, changed formulas 5 times, no help. I told my daughter to try 2%, but she insists on listening to the doctor.........
i dont have any stories personally, but this can be common in infants. I have had several friends who have children who had it, although I have always just heard them refer to it as reflux, if its severe it can be managed with medication and all my friends who have had babies with it, their children have grown out of it. My best advice is to google reflux in infants and read some more on it. Good luck.. poor lil guy
