Anyone else have this long lasting cold/bronchitis?!
Question: Had to take the hubby to the emergency room 3 weeks ago due to the cough, could not catch his breath. Did an x-ray, bronchitis, he is still after antibiotics, steroids, inhalers and using a nebulizer he is still hacking up a lung. At least now he is down to one puff on the inhaler daily. Has anyone else had a hard time to get over this strain of virus. The local hospital is full of people that have this.
Should we take warning to what the news has been saying , that these viruses are mutating and are going to be harder to control?

I think it would wise to take heed of the warnings. You should also know that years ago a bulletin went out to doctors advising them against frequent and sometimes arbitrary use of antibiotics because resistant strains of bacteria were turning up. The warning should have gone to the public who demand and insist on antibiotic prescriptions for everything.
My heart goes out to your husband. When I catch a cold it invariably progresses to bronchitis that takes up residence for a minimum of 3 months. I have lots of allergies and a sensitive and reactive airway. That's my excuse. I wish your husband a speedier recovery.
My Doctor told me that the colds/coughs are lasting a long time this year. My husbands cough took three months to go away.
People demanding drugs for simple things has ruined the use of them for necessities.
