Im 35 never had chicken pox whats the odds i will get it?!

Question: Definitely consider getting the vaccine. You'll be injected with a weak chicken pox virus that will probably make you sick for a day or two, but you won't develop the effects to the extreme as you would with full blown chicken pox.

Being that you're 35, and assuming that you are physically healthy for your age, you should have a rather strong immune system. Over the years of a person's life, the immune system battles viruses and bacteria, while at the same time keeping memory of previous virus and bacteria. This helps for your body fight, for example, the chicken pox virus that enters your system after you've recovered from it. In other words, you can't get the same sickness twice.

That's why it's much easier for kids to get sick, babies even more. Their immune system is unaware of the attacks and has to learn which cells kill which viruses.

Sorry I wrote like a book! But just get the vaccine. It's safer and less stressful for a busy adult.

Hard to tell. Chicken pox is caused by a virus. Consider getting the vaccine. Chicken pox is rarely serious in children but can be VERY serious in adults. Why chance it?

If you have a lot of contact with children you are probably quite likely to catch it from one of them at some point. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. (Obviously stay away from anyone that gets it)
