Well many of the Headaches women get are HORMONAL.
There is no cure for that. Have your hormone levels checked they might be swinging up and down. Birth Control pills help level them out I am told. I personally have not used them in years.

An Ice pack on your neck helps constrict the arteries and veins to control the pulsing blood flow.

Heat always helps me. I use a wet heated towel (40 seconds in the microwave) lay it on the back of the neck and or the face. For me it works great.

If you have a (don't laugh) vibrator, use it on your neck, that helps a lot also.

I personally take EXCEDRIN, for a headache and it works very well.

Tylenol and ibuprofen are great for headaches but I would suspect that doing an activity for long periods of time without getting up and stretching your neck and shoulder muscles is causing tension headaches. These headaches often start at the back of your head and come over the top and into your forehead but can be anywhere. Tight muscles are the cause of this type of headache. Taking frequent breaks and also taking tylenol or ibuprofen as soon as you notice the headache will help.

Unfortunately, there is no sure-fire cure for headaches because there are so many different kinds and so many different reasons for them.
I've found that Excedrin helps my headaches - migraines included. Excedrin Migraine and Excedrin extra strength have the same ingredients. PLUS, the Wal Mart version works just as well as the name brand.
If you do computer work or read frequently, take breaks and close your eyes to rest them for a few minutes. Also, stop and look in the distance to allow the eyes to relax. Incorporate stretching exercises and relaxation techniques.
An aromatherapy that works is lavender oil massaged into the temples. Use a single drop of undiluted lavender oil on each temple and massage with your fingertips.

I know headaches are crummy and keep you from even thinking clearly much less socializing with the world. I hope my suggestions help. There is no cure for headaches but there is help.

All the best!

Try this, pinch your hand at the bottom of your thumb where the skin looks like it's pulling from tour index finger, thats a pressure point and that relieves my headaches, also if your pain is on the right, pinch the right hand.Goodluck.
