My daughter has severe never-ending eczema, somebody help ME?!

Question: I don't need advice for her eczema. I've been to dermatologists. I've studied for days on end on the internet for advice. I"ve bought expensive 'miracle cures'. I"ve found remedies that will ease her breakouts but it never completely goes away. I hate the weeks and weeks she is red, blotchy and bloody. It doesn't matter how short I cut her fingernails. She'll rub on the carpet until her skin peels off. I'm certain nothing you tell me will help her. But I'm not here to help her. I need help. I need help because I am so close to giving up. To see my daughter in pain is killing me. SHe's three. She's beautiful buy nobody can see that . All they see is scabs and scratch marks and red puffy skin. EVERYWHERE. even her eyelids. I cry everynight. I beg God to heal her, to give it to me instead. I don't believe in God anymore. How could I? I don't know what to do for her, for myself, for my son....my five year old who gets less attention than her. help.

I know what you are going through!! My baby cousin is 2 and has the same condition...and my aunt and uncle are going through the same issues..but they haven't given up their faith and please don't stop believing!! Everything will be fine as she grows older..right now just do everything you are already doing! My lil cousin is so cute..she talks in full sentences and is like God will help me and my itchiness will go away!! When she says that i'm like awww!!! So just be strong..im sure you are...and days when you are feeling stress just talk to someone...and yes!! My aunt also..after she gives my cousin a bath...she uses lots of petroleum jelly and the medicine...and wraps her legs up in plastic wrap and arms the effected areas...this locks the mositure and prevents my lil cousin from scratching and it helps from the skin from itching too much.. Hopefully you and dauhgter will be fine!!

Love
Abia

ps: she isnt in plastic wrap for24 hours just some parts of the day!!

find a counsellor who can help you find constructive ways to deal with this stress.

Steroids have proven extremely effective in managing eczema. Don't stop believing in God..you never know when you will need him the most.

Think about it this way, you have lasted 3yrs and been there for her...once she is older, she won't need you to be there for her so much. I know you don't want any advice, cause i know eczema's not really curable, but try using anti itch creams, or a cream call bluestar its for ringworms and bug bites. if you have to, wrap her in gauz in the places that doesnt have to be exposed...like on her arms

Have you done hot wraps?
I've had full body eczema since I was born.
If you rub her down with vaseline and medicine on the bad parts, wrap her up in hot towels then a plastic bag and a blanket (bypassing her head, of course) you keep her there for 20-30 minutes, it soaks the medicine and moisture in and calms her down.
My mom did this for me whenever I got really bad. Set her in front of the TV, or put a warm towel on her face. a bath with a capful of bleach beforehand helps even more and cotton gloves on her hands secured with vet wrap or first aid tape around the end at night stop from itching. We order vet wrap in like 30 roll boxes. Wrap up legs and arms in torn sheet strips and put on moisturized skin for the night secured with vetwrap.
Sorry that I gave you advice on it =S
I really don't know what to tell you because I haven't found the miracle cure either and have to deal with ridcule, too.

Hello there. I strongly recommend that you try the herbal anti-eczema cream and spray from Champori.com It works better than anything else on my eczema; it contains no harmful substances, and if it doesn't work - it's free (they have money back guarantee).
Best,
Bernadette
