Will this hurt my baby?!

Question: i had a neurology appt. today because i passed out in the shower on Sunday. when i was there they said that i have low blood pressure and they believe that i have a heart murmur. i was diagnosed with a heart murmur when i was born but they said i outgrew it at about age seven. the neurologist said that it came back because of the pregnancy. i am being put on a heart moniter for 48 hours and i am also getting an heart echo, they are also doing an eeg because epilepsy runs in my family. my question is how does all of this affect my baby? i dont believe i have epilepsy but who knows so im just going to do the eeg just in case but what about the heart murmur and the low blood pressure? im only 4 1/2 months so what are these conditions doing to my baby? will he or she be ok? will i be able to deliver normally? will my baby be born with a heart defect? what are all the things that could happen? im going to ask my dr. these questions when i go back, i just wanted some input until then. thanks

I passed out twice when I was pregnant...it was the result of me being anemic/having low blood pressure. I also have a heart murmur that I have never outgrown. Most of the tests that are performed now cause no harm to fetuses and/or unborn babies. However genetic predisposition does effect your baby...you may want to do a genetic/medical history report of your family illnesses as well as the illnesses of the baby's father. As for the heart murmur and the low blood pressure these should have little to no significant impact on your baby. You are still early in your pregnancy...your ultrasounds will be able to answer some of these questions for you too. If it's any help, I can say that my son was born via natural delivery, with no birth defects...oh, he does have asthma. Make sure that you are taking your prenatal vitamins, foods rich in iron (SlowFe is a good iron supplement), and brain foods (salmon, liver, flaxseed oil, bananas, soybeans, etc.)
You may want to definitely consult your Ob/Gyn for more concrete answers to your other questions.

Good Luck to you and hope this info helps.

you are definitely worrying way way to much. my wife has the same thing with the exception of the seizure history in the family and we have 2 kids no problems with either one. but she took really good care of her self while she was pregnant. she don't smoke drink and ate really healthy and took prenatal vitamins. as for your baby it has its own heart pumping blood with yours so even if your pressure drops for a few minutes here and there baby should be fine. but all cases are unique so here your doctors out . 90% of the tests are just precautionary most likely
