Drunken debate: Would the use of this cause nose bleeds . . .?!

Question: {Sober} - See below for why I am putting this here.

OK. So oddly enough, during a drunken debate with friends a weird yet entertaining conversation came up.

Does the use of Humidifiers (warm mist humidifiers) at night actually increase your chances of getting a nose bleed in the winter?

My friends and I were in a heated-drunken debate about this. I said yes it would, because it would help to loosen any "plugs" already in place on the broken linening of the nose. Others said no, because the dry air causes more nose bleeds . . . But lets see what you have to say!

When answering, please state in the first line if you are {Drunk} or {Sober}, then continue with the answer. Lets see how the answers vary from our drunken friends to our sober friends.

Sober - dry is worse, it tends to crack the nose insides.

I WIN!

sober, the humidifier keeps the nasal mucosa moist and prevents nosebleeds.

well obviously your answer is wrong since you were "drunk" and warm air will not increase the chance for a nose bleed. Keep drinking to see what other stupid conversations you can post :-)

sober - no, its the dry air that will cause nose bleeds. so a humidifer will help prevent them

Sober- my son has nosebleeds while he sleeps at night. The Ear nose and Throat doctor recommended a humidifier to keep his nasal passages moist and to prevent them from being dry and irritated making them bleed. So you were wrong....sorry.
