OK what is the cure all for a cold, runny nose, aches and pains all over?!

Question: First of all you need something to dry up your nose. Try Clairton D 12-hour in the morning. Take Benedryl before bed. The "D" decongestant keeps me awake, so I don't take it at night. The Benedryl will not only help you sleep, it will help your stuffy nose during the night. Put Mentholatum in your nose. It will keep it moist without drying out. And protect the raw skin so it can heal.

Gargle with warm salt water. Your throat is probably sore from your nose dripping. Salt kills the bacteria.

Secondly, I would take some Tylenol for the aches and pains.

Thirdly, rest, drink a half gallon of water every day to flush out the toxins, and eat plain foods.

If you don't get better in a couple of days, call the doctor, you may have the flu that's going around.

Zicam nasal swabs work very well for me, along with tylenol for the aches.

Hi Grammy! And old home remedy works best for me, if you have any brandy or whiskey in the house, take a shot of it with a cup of hot tea and some honey and lemon. Drink it down as hot as you can stand it. Jump into bed under the covers, you will sweat it out and feel much better in the morning.

As far as the raw nose, switch to Puffs Plus and put a bit of vaseline on the raw part at bedtime.

Feel better soon!

If it is allergy take allegra-120, 2per day, If it is not recurring +ordinary cold take parcetamol-650, 2per day

Sleep. Miso soup and hot tea. Stay warm and covered in a quiet room where you can rest without much light.
Avoid meat, all dairy..eggs, oils, fats, nuts, breads and juice. Fruit too.
If you have an appetite then boiled root veggies in soup or a stew.
I swear, I learned this in Macrobiotics and I always beat a cold when it starts. So do my kids.

Hi Grammy.....

I hope you feel a little better by the time you read this. The only things I use is Nyquil, Benadryl, and I sleep a whole lot. Eat lots of chicken soup, too. The idea is to ride it out. Use the tissues that have the lotion in it.... that'll save you from the soreness. Oh! A cool (or warm--depends on you) wet washcloth has always helped me, too. Thanks to my momma....(smile). Hope you get to feelin' better soon.

eat twice a day raw lemons in hot water eg peel and slice lemons add hot water add honey to taste if lemons are bitter eat the lemons and drink the hot water. get some menthol crystals add some to a old bowl add hot water get a towel over your head and sniff away as for the aches and pains all over take 2 panadol every 4 hours no more than 8 in 24 hours. and dont drink any cafeineated drink while taking the panadol.
