When someone has high blood pressure they are normally started on medications to control it -- the problem is : if they are not monitoring their blood pressure daily - the medication can be too much and drop their pressure and cause them to have serious complications also. Tell your friend: they should check their BP every morning at the same time - prior to taking the medication -- keep a record of it -- then, check it again about 1-2 hrs after taking the medicine -- record that also. BP medication normally peaks at a certain time - depending on how often it is taken and the what type of BP med it is -- so, you need to be aware of that. Most people dont understand that either high or low pressures are dangerous and should be monitored. Have he/she talk to their doctor if it seems to be dropping to low. Depending on their cardiac hx -- some people need to maintain a lower BP.

your friend is lucky to have it that low

Did he take too much medication? If he doubled up on his meds it may cause his BP to drop. This is quite low- he should speak to his doctor about this.

As long as your friend is not experiencing dizzy spells or even falling down, he is probably alright. Low blood pressure is currently regarded by the medical community as a postive thing. If he is concerned, however, he should see his doctor.
