How fast does a damaged liver regenerate?!

Question: I do not have any liver disease, am drinking plenty of water, exercise regularly, take a multivitamin and take milk thistle, eat a healthy diet and drink green tea everyday but my liver has some damage from alcohol consumption over the past few years. Under these conditions, how fast would my liver regenerate to a normal healthy one?

The liver is a remarkable organ... under those circumstances, probably as fast as it can to become healthy...as to a time frame, no one can say. The variables are not known. Had the liver gone into cirrhosis? How long were you a drinker etc.... but if you continue on your regime and don't consume any alcohol or too many medications that have to be filtered through the liver, you might be surprised at the next blood test, with happy results.
PS....make sure that any natural supplements you take help and not harm the liver. If they tax the liver and make it work harder to filter, the supplement is not helping and should be eliminated.

Livers do not regenerate. Any damage is permanent!

This is a complex question, so it is difficult to answer directly. However, I can point you in the direction of some useful information that will help.
