your fine. if you ear feels a little itchy too, it's b/c you lymphodes (sp) are swelling up and effecting your ears too. it's normal. drink something warm

Gargle warm salt water and see a doc

Feel just under your jawbone where it juts out the most to see if your lymphnodes are swollen. If so, you have a sinus infection. I got them ALL the time when I was younger - still kind of do. You'll need an antibiotic from your doctor or you'll take longer to heal than you probably want. Good luck!

You have a tube called the Eustachian tube that goes from the ear to the throat. When you have an upper respiratory tract infection, unfortunately it gets inflammed and irritated. I am afraid there is not a lot you can do about it apart from cold and flu medications and a hot water bottle bottle if you get ear ache.

Try using an eye dropper to put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ear. Tip your head to allow it to run down the canal, but be careful to drop just enough that you feel it run down. As it travels down the canal you should hear it start to "fizzle". After a few minutes, use a q-tip or cotton ball to dry your ear. Do this every few hours and this should help.
