I shaved my pubes and I have a horrible rash?!

Question: The rash has a brownish tint, I'm white mind you, how should I make the rash go away?

Sounds like razor burn

Use lotion!

just keep it clean and consider some after shave

alright... so the after shave is just a joke but i guess that depends on who will be that close to the shave....

Whilst it's more attractive to most people to manage their pubic hair, sometimes shaving can be extremely irritating to the skin - especially if you shave against the growth of the hair. This commonly causes red bumps, rashes and ingrown hairs. Not something anyone wants! You could also be allergic to the shaving foam you used, as many people have very sensitive skin around that area, myself included.
My advice would be to moisturize the area, and once it clears up, gently exfoliate to remove any dry flakes of skin.
You might want to consider other forms of hair removal, in the future. There's eppilation, depilatory creme or even laser hair removal. Personally, I always get my bikini line waxed, it lasts much longer and the result is much more cosmetically pleasing. If you don't want to spend too much cash on a professional, most home waxing kits are good enough for the weeks in between waxing.
Good luck!

Baby powder. It will make the itching go away. Also get some bikini zone. Hope that helps. Good luck!

trim dont shave... or use a body groom (philips)

That is generally normal. Since that area isn't really meant to be shaved, your skin will be irritated by the razor. Usually it's a bunch of red bumps. If it really bothers you, just buy a trimmer or something and keep it really trimmed. Also, I heard that if you use Dove unscented deoderant down there, it makes it really smooth and takes care of the rash.

aloe sunburn gel

It happens the first time you do it. If you make it a weekly part of your hygiene, you'll get used to it, and it will no longer itch.

If you do not shave regularly this will happen.

Try Benadryl Gel.....

antibioc ointment that was normal first time reaction

It'll probably go away on its own..

use some MILD lotion. next time use trimmers NOT a razor

Make sure when you shave down there that you shave in the direction of the hair, not against it. That's what causes this. It will go away in a couple of days when the hair grows. In the meantime don't scratch it.

dats why u gotta disinfect right before and after u shave...

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA

I don't understand why some girls like to remove all the hairs from their vagina....that must be a very painful experience

hahahaha you shaved your pubes...ever heard of wax?no

you poor girl . I have been shaven for years so I don't have this problem. You need to buff up your skin, rub a towel roughly over yourself this will open the ingrown hairs

Corn Flour, it really helps, might be better than baby power

go see your local vet.

it'll get better.

next time due some research on how to prevent such a rash BEFORE you shave.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

You probably shaved with a dull razor.
Keep it clean and wear loose clothing for awhile.

Be really careful from now on. Razors harbor alot of bacteria. it's best not to keep them in the shower so they can dry properly. But you might just have plain old razor burn.

GOOD LUCK MAN...I ATTACHED SOME RESOURCES YOU COULD POSSIBLY USE

right now its just irritated. just give it time to cool down. it will go away. what did you do for it to get like that?? well next time be careful. Put nice hydrating lotion. Or just leave it alone it will go away i promise. experience.

Did you save the hairs, you stupid B*T*H!

Soak in epsoms salt then lotion it up next time get it wet with waer and soap then use clippers before you shave after shaving load up with lotion. I know I did this my first time also

keep the area clean, exfoliate to reduce ingrown hairs... and maybe avoid sex until it heals otherwise it will aggravate it more

Thats pretty normal. Just put cream on it. Also. Next time you shave, put on a shitload of deodorant (bar) on it before. This will prevent the 'rash'.
