You are asking about MRSA, full name methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. If your dog has a MRSA infection it is possible to become colonized with that particular bacteria. Colonization means it is present as part of the bacterial population on or inside your body. It doesn't mean you will definitely get an infection with MRSA. It does mean there is a greater risk of MRSA infection. Some MRSA strains are much more virulent.....more capable of causing disease. But, unless your dogs running eyes are caused by MRSA there is nothing to worry about. Running eyes can be due to many different things, one of which is bacterial infection. Bacterial eye infections are normally caused by bacterial species other than MRSA, even though MRSA can infect the eyes. If you are concerned consult a veterinarian and get your dog treated with proper antibiotics. Be sure to wash your hands well after contact with your dog. If there is no true bacterial infection occurring in the dogs eyes there should be absolutely nothing to worry about. You cannot get MRSA if the bacteria isn't there!

Either your spelling is wrong or you haven't got the right word. However, if it's an infection, of course you can get it. Make sure you treat it like "pink eye" in humans and don't touch it. If you do, wash real good. Get a treatment for the dog.
