How can i stop smoking??!


Question: i smoke 2 packs a day since i was 14, i do want to stop but i cant, i tried many times with out to manage what i wanted, what can i do?

Good for you to say that you want to stop I'm a smoker (i hope this puts you of) I'm 32 have emphysema caused by smoking and my lung keeps collapsing and that's painful i bet you bring up allot of Mucus and cough allot,,, usually people don't find out they have emphysema/copd/ until its to late.. i found out young because when my lung collapsed so many times they give me an operation and took a bit of my lung of and tested it and it was the middle stages of it I was so shocked.. i no its hard to stop as I'm still trying please stop or you could get lung disease please. its so hard to breath . so before its to late do it not for others for you...... good luck........

I smoked for ten years and ya know how I quit? I just woke up one morning and said "I'm tried of always smelling bad" and I quit. Never touched one again.

Congratulations for wanting to stop. Go and see your Gp to see if there is any treatment such as being referred to the smoking cessation clinic. there is also a drug out called Champix which helped me kicked my habit. I also signed up to a forum on the internet whiched helped me. Good luck!

well you can't stop immediately but this can be a helpful tip
(based on what i have learned)
based on your case, you said you smoke 2 packs a day.
try to smoke 1 pack a day then if you are used to smoking 1 pack try to smoke about 5 pieces.. after days pass by smoke only 1 a day then the next day try not to touch the cigarette packs , just ignore it (might sound hard but just try to lessen the number or sticks you smoke per day

the easiest way to give up is give up the cigarette which is one you can't do without like your favorite. if it's the first one in the morning or after you eat if you can give that the boot the rest is a lot easier. smoking is just habit.

there is a type of gum called nicorette which helps smokers quit smoking...u can find it in your local pharmacy, nicorette helped many people i know quit smoking, my uncle and cousin to name a few. If u cant find nicorette then i suggest that u reduce the number of cigarettes per day, that takes not only times but perserverance and determination, if not, u could visit ur doctor on advice and he/she would probably prescribe u some medicine, good luck to u and congratulations for wanting to quit, dun give up !
