Treatment of tetanus (lockjaw)?!

Question: My jaw has been tight for the past couple of days and it sometimes spreads to my throat. The only thing that I can think of is that it is lockjaw. I haven't had any significant injuries lately minus the usual cut and scrape here and there. I can not afford to go to a doctor, I do not have health insurance. What should I do?

sounds like you might have tmj which is not serious. it is the muscles that are around your jaw that move when you chew. do you chew alot of gum? bagels? do you grind your teeth at night.

i have tmj and i know what feeling you mean. the muscles around your jaw almost lock and feel sore and tired and ache.

if you chew gum, stop for a week see if it helps.

don't eat bagels or anything that you have chew alot.

stick to foods that aren't tough to chew and see if it helps.

also, try some aleve and advil if the muscles in your jaw feel sore.

google tmj if this sounds like what you have.

hope you feel better!

That is not tetanus. Lockjaw does not just paralyse your jaw but also your muscles of respirations, so start looking for another reason.
