Catching Herpes?!

Question: I just found out that one of my roomates has herpes. We use the same bathroom (shower/tub), toilet seat, etc. I have taken baths in that shower and obviously used the same toilet. Should I be tested or worried?

I honestly don't think it's that easy to catch herpes or any STD. I could of swore you caught it through blood, semen and vaginal fluid.
Sharing a bathroom, kitchen or other utensils won't get you herpes or any other STD. Unless you had sex with this person or someone he/she has had sex with, I don't think you should be all that worried.

However, if it makes you feel comfortable then go get tested but again, you should be pretty much okay!!!

I would. Herpes can live outside the host for a while and if the virus gets on the toilet seat and then you use it right after you can get the virus on you.

There is absolutely, positively, no way you can get it from your roommate by sharing the same shower, using the same toilet, or even drinking after them. The only thing you have to be afraid of is your lack of knowledge on the subject.
