www.thebody.com is a great site to read about HIV.

Please don't stress yourself...

I contracted HIV in June 2003 and I went through seroconversion. It was absolutely horrible and I thought I was going to die. The best I can remember is that I had major flu-like symptoms and the inability to eat and keep it down. I had major aches and pains also.

Please bear in mind that not everyone goes through seroconversion (this is when you contract the disease). The disease can lay dormant in some people and they may not know they have the disease for many years to come.

I applaud you for caring about your health and getting tested.

I wish you all the best.

HIV has no symptoms, those don't show up until you have AIDS.

When you first contract the HIV virus you may experience what is called Acute HIV Symptoms; they occur usually 2-4 weeks after exposure and will take on symptoms like the common cold and/or flu. However, it tends to last longer than a normal cold and flu do.
As for other HIV symptoms, there are many to describe but you can simply just have them due to typical situations around you. They are very similar to other symptoms; even a horrible headache is listed as a possible symptom but you just might have a bad headache.

HIV symptoms can lay dormant or latent in the symptoms for months to possible years. Also, symptoms could be considered so mild you would not have even though the possiblity of HIV.
Here are just some symptoms:
Fever
Malaise
Myalgia
Rash
Headache
Night sweats
Sore throat
Lymphadenopathy
Arthralgia
Nasal congestion

Good Luck.

I dont know

Neither do I.

You might have cold symptoms at first, possibly itchy hands or feet, headaches maybe, maybe a sore throat, lots of things.

CDC says window period is 3 to 6 months, It does not lay dormant if that was case blood banks will have no blood on shelfs. get your dr do hiv rna test thats same test they do at blood banks
