Ive noticed my gums receeding on the lower teeth what can i do im shiting my sel!

Question: First of all, you need to see a dentist to find out why your gums are receding, get a thorough professional dental cleaning and have the staff teach you, via a demonstration, how to brush and floss properly (to clean well and to avoid gum recession).

The following are potential causes:

- aggressive or incorrect brush technique
- insufficient or inadequate flossing
- plaque and tartar induced gum infection that has caused bone loss around the roots of your teeth (periodontal disease)
- smoking induced periodontal disease
- bone loss as a result of a systemic disease such as uncontrolled diabetes
- gum infection and bone loss due to poor nutrition
- strong muscle attachments from the buccal mucosa to your gums (frenum attachment)
- teeth that protrude facially
- etc.

Google my terminology to gain a better understanding, OR, present my list to your dentist for explanations.

Once gums have receded, you can only get root coverage by having periodontal grafting performed. The tissue will NOT grow back on its own. Have your dentist explain the various types of gum grafting surgery.

no need to **** yourself hun!go the dentist and get it checked, theres probably a simple solution to the problem hun....good luck.

see a dentist

make sure no sugar at night and brish the gums softly to stimulate them

There is nothing you can do it happens to a lot of people.

Its like going bald, nothing can be done about it.

You're brushing your teeth too hard. Use a softer toothbrush and brush your gums gently.

Dont worry about it,first of all get a decent toothbrush, the best are the ones with a round head. When brushing do it nice an gently if possible try an get a battery operated brush they are alot better.Book yourself in to see a Hygienist, who will explain whats going on,it happens alot to people,I had it on my top canines and it was down to the way I brushed them.

your gums recede as you get older what age are you 65-70 if younger get a good supply of toilet paper and air freshner

See your dentist asap - you should use corsodyl mouthwash in meantime as it is an anti - inflammatory and helps with gum disease. Don't worry - your teeth won't fall out!

1st - how old are you?
