Strep throat and cold sores are not related. When you have a cold (viral), it temporarily decreases your immunity, and your body is more vulnerable to bacterial infections, which is why, if you have a cold that persists, doctors may give you antibiotics to kill bacterial infections. It is a normal process that has nothing to do with sexual abuse (aside from elevated stress, which can decrease your ability to fight common or more severe ailments). Sometimes, if certain upper respiratory infections are considered chronic (usually 6+ cases/year), a tonsillectomy+adenoid removal is appropriate. Cold sores, and herpes (virtually the same virus, which you have for life, unfortunately) very often follow a period of stress (whether it be physical, or psychological). The best thing you can do for yourself, is eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Lots of water, at least 8hrs sleep daily. Hulled hemp seed (4 tbsp daily). And individual attention, and when possible elimination of each and every stress factor in your life.
Also. Take care of your lips. ie: coat them with lip balm on cold windy days, and protect them from the sun. And as for "down there," be prompt at treating yeast infection or any itching, any minor trauma could result in herpes. Keep away from refined sugars. Take care.

what kind of answer are you looking for? You said yourself you have HERPES - a non-curable terminal illness

Sounds like stress is inflaming your condition. Do some yoga or something to relax you. Maybe things will get a little better.

It is time to see a DR. I wish you the best

You probably should ask your doctor...

well it doesnt go away you need to see a dr for meds and not have if you think your having brackout

well first of all you need to take your meds for the herpes. second you should get a compete blood test to check for anyother type diseases, such as Aids, or other viral illnesses. third, you should get your tonsils out due to the frequent strep throats. forth, go to a differetn doctor that will help you in finding what the root cause is for all of these symptoms.

Herpes is NOT a terminal disease, it doesn't kill you. You will have it for life, but it can be controlled with a medication called Valtrex, ask your doctor about it.
As for the rest of it, I would say you do not take good care of yourself. You get over tired, and you don't support your immune system. You need to set yourself a regular sleep pattern, you need to eat a balanced diet, you need to drink two liters minimum of water daily, and you might consider a liquid vitamin supplement to boost your immune system.

seems like your biggest trigger is stress, relax and maybe you'll be able to keep you out breaks under control.

I had mono when I was in high school and got ulcers in my mouth and had this for 3 weeks. My doctor told me that whenever you get stressed your immune system tanks a little and you will get sick easier and the ulcers, are a direct symptom of the stress. I would go see your gyno for the other problem, there are many new meds that could help and they could do other tests if they thought necessary. It never hurts to check things out but if you are sensitive to stress, it can makes those things happen. I still get ulcers in my mouth whenever I am too stressed out and it has been 13 years since it first started.

First of all I am very sorry that this abuse has happened to you. The first thing that you need to do is focus on you and YOUR wellbeing. I have heard of some people getting physically sick from stress or even other people's stress. I get nauseated when things get stressful for me.

I know that you've heard this a thousand times but it sounds like your condition is worsening and you have got to get to a doctor. I have heard that our bodies, when it is affected with stress, goes through these weird traumatic like phases where we lose control of our health and our bodies can act out-- or become sickened sometimes.

Stress isn't good at all and you are too young for the things that you are stressing about. Please see a doctor for your condition and try to surround yourself with people who will bring you happiness. Let your sister work through her problems but try to support her without letting her issue take over you.

Try to go to some health boards for support and advice on how to better care for your herpes and etc. I hope things work out for you.
