Why do my allergies go away when I go outdoors?!

Question: I've had allergies for the past couple of days (in fact, everyone in my family has). I'm pretty sure it's because we got alot of snow a couple weeks ago and it hasn't melted yet. I think it might be creating alot of mold on the ground since all this snow is just sitting there and not going anywhere.

However, my allergies seem to disappear when I go outside. Then whenever I go back inside they come back. And then I thought maybe it's just my house..maybe there's something in there that I'm allergic to but it doesn't matter what building I'm in--as long as I'm inside, they come back. What's up? Why does this happen?

Since it has been cold, I am sure you have kept everything in your house closed up. So, maybe you need to air your house out. You may also need to spend this weekend deep cleaning. You could have a lot of hidden dust and debris in your house.

Ja, it is something nasty in the house. I've got it today too from opening a damp cupboard to dry it out. Look for moldy corners.

Maybe your allergies are to dust, so it doesn't matter where you are inside.

it could be dust in your house. you can get tested at the doctors to find out if you're allergic to dust.
there are a lot of house sprays that help with it.

maybe its a dust allergy? i know alot of heating systems kick up alot of dust, plus the fact that its winter and your house is all closed up, theres nowhere for the dust to go. at least in the summer you can open a window.

The snow is not causing the problem. It is probably something in your house. Since you have snow on the ground you probably aren't getting enough ventilation into your house (by having windows opens or the door closing & opening).
Snow does not cause mold, water does though.
Take a claritan in the morning and see if that helps.

could it be dust? animal danders? moldy carpet/walls/furniture? maybe moldy window sills?

Having the same problem here...it is from a closed up house with all the dust, pet dander, etc. But what you gonna do in severe cold weather?...Sometimes I just want to open windows and doors and let it go! but at -20 dg it is hard to do that.. So what I do is go into the closed bath and take a nice hot bath. Darn winter anyways!

maybe ur allergic 2 dust
