Heartburn....?!

Question: I have acid reflux that has been flareing up because of stress and caf. food. It is going into my arm and jaw. Yuck!
I took 300mg of zantaz(my perscription) and 2 malox. Nothing has kicked in yet, and the acid just keeps getting worse. Any tips on anything to take or relive this?

This always works for me:

YOGURT especially Yoplait

and eating RAW FRUITS especially bananas, strawberries (without sugar or honey or cooking them or anything from a can), drink lots of water to wash out your acidic environment in your stomach

Avoid fried foods, any salt foods, fat foods (cheese, milk, pizza etc.), oily foods, meat especially pork because it's soo salty and fatty

I find that Andrews Liver Salt does the job for me. You have my sympathy.

If you have chest pain that is radiating to your jaw and left arm this may be related to your heart. Call your doctor and tell him/her that your pain is not going away and ask what you should do.

I had awful heartburn after I finished chemo and the prescription drug wasn't helping.
I bought probiotics, digestive enzymes and Heartburn MD. In 2 weeks, my heartburn was almost gone. Now, I take digestive enzymes and probiotics a few times a week and the heartburn MD as needed. I can't believe how good it worked! My doctor was impressed and he wrote reflux and heartburn resolved across my chart.
I hope you find some relief!

You have my sympathy. It is also the bane of my life. It is a miserable situation.

Have you been checked out for a hiatus hernia? I have one.

The doctor prescribed something for me called Omeprazole capsules. He called it an 'acid switcher off' Worked great and gave relief.

Worth seeing your doctor about it and having it investigated.
