Question: OK, so I've always had kinda bad skin, but it has gotten really bad lately. I used proactive for a awhile, then stopped cause it was pretty clear... wrong move!! I also learned my lesson about using cheap foundation. My question is gimme some ideas!! Does anyone have any remedies that have worked for them, outside of the typical? I've used evrey cream and scrub, knowing not to be to rough. Ive strated drinkin extra water. I also have decided to go back on birth control, Ortho TriCyclen lo. Not for the reason of acne, but I've heard it can help, does anyone know this to be true?

Hey. I know what your feelin like. I used get soo upset cuz of my acne i wouldnt even look in the mirror. Anyway, this is my knowledge- hope it helps. Well first of all dont use any of those stupid prescription creams an harsh wash's and crap. It really sucks all the softness out of your skin and you get this horrible dry irritation. I learned the hard way. So, definetly DONT rub Aloe Vera gel on your face it will make everything worse. Also, putting crap on top of your pimples that isnt supposed to go there only makes everything soo worse. This means NO toothpaste and crap. Who actually beleives that that will help. What you should do is get deep into the skin problem. To do this you should fill the sink up with hot steamy water and put your face down near this for 3-4 minutes. Put a towel over your head to trap escaping heat.** Then, after this is when you should use your face wash. Now it can really get down into your pores since they are now open. I dont use those washes with acne stuff in them cuz they ALWAYS just either dry my skin out or make it look oily or something and i dont want that i want natural looking skin. SO i use Clean and Clear Orange Morning Burst. Its awesome and smells great and is gentle. SO anyway i also use the spot treatment from the CLean and CLear Acne Kit. Go to www.CleanandCLear.com and it can tell you the products that are best for you and everything. Keep drinking lots of water, and whatever you do DO NOT touch your face. the oil from your hands just destroys your face. Lemon juice is also pretty good. ANd BURTS BEES products really soften your skin. GOOD LUCK!!!
Thats the question of the year isnt it... Every one wants clear skin when you find the answer be sure that I am the 1st one you tell!
Here are a few testimonials on how to heal the issue.
11/24/2007: Vinny (firstname.lastname@example.org) from Atlanta, GA writes: "A quick, cheap, & healthy way to prevent and heal acne (even blackheads) is to use Eucalyptus Aromatherapy Oil. A big bottle is about $8-9 and can be found at GNC. Make sure you dilute it with water as it is very potent like other oils. You should have very good success with this and should notice HUGE differences within a day."
APPLE CIDER Vinegar AND ALOE VERA FOR ACNE
10/04/2007: Martha from Lawrenceville, GA writes: "I've always had trouble with acne -- I could never get my skin completely under control. ACV helped -- taking it internally -- but I still broke out in a monthly cycle. I started using aloe vera gel on my face a few weeks ago, and my skin has cleared up dramatically. I've not had one breakout, and my skin is getting to be so pretty! I just use a generic aloe vera gel that I picked up in WalMart."
COCONUT OIL AND ALOE VERA FOR ACNE
10/03/2007: Jennifer from Kirkland, Washington writes: "I have been using a mixture of coconut oil and aloe vera gel (4:1 ratio) on my face for my acne for only 2 weeks and it has almost completely cleared it up. I have had moderate to severe acne since I was 13 (I am now 37), and have tried everything under the sun to diminish it. Some things have helped more than others, but this is the first time my skin has felt so good and looked so good in almost 25 years
Best of health to you
Yes, it is true that birth control can help with acne.
My daughter went to a dermatologist and was told to use "Lava" soap twice a day on her face. Believe it or not it worked. She uses it to this day and I have not see one trace of acne. Best wishes.
proactiv didnt work for me at all. ive tried SO many different things for acne, and my only answer is : retin-a micro. go to a local derm to see about it, cause its only available by prescription. i swear by it !
avoid greasy food & chocolate.
