Do you have SVT ?!

Question: Does anyone else here have SVT (Supra ventricular tachycardia) ? If so, do you take any medication for it? Do you have outbreaks? Hospitalizations? Whats the highest your pulse has ever gotten? What does it feel like when this happens to you? Have you ever had the medicine (I'm sorry as I can not remember it's name) that makes your heart stop?
I am interested in hearing your experiences with this disease.

I've had it for 2 1/2 years now. I take Cardizem and have 2 very bad spells which I have been hospitalized for. My heart rate the first time was up to 211. I was taken out in an ambulance last week when my heart rate reached 206. It feels like an explosion went off in my heart and then a "dropping" feeling and then my heart races. I get light headed and have a hardtime breathing. The first time that it happened to me over 2 years ago when I was in the ER they gave me the medicine to make my heart stop 2 times, it was the worst experience of my life.

don't quote me on this; but the medicince you're referring to is Atropine. (or adenosine, I can't remember)
Correction; it's Adenosine. Atropine would most likely worsen the SVT and kill you.

Adenosine blocks the electrical impulses of the heart; which cause it to stop beating. it only lasts for a bit; which is why it needs to be pushed extremely fast.

People who get SVT frequently hate that stuff. It makes your heart stop for a plit second; and then it returns to normal. It also burns like the dickens; makes you turn red, and is one of those where if I'm gonna give it to you; I'm going to say "alright; this is gonna hurt like hell for two seconds; but you'll be fine after that."

No, but I do have a SVT Mustang.

holy poopers you probly almost died yea maybe you should get tested yeah i think you should

No but I took someone to the hospital who was in SVT once and watched the doctors administer that drug. It was so crazy to see a conscious person who didnt have a heart beat.
