Im scared, chlamydia? maybe? please help. women only?!

Question: Ok, I have been with my boyfriend for nearly three years. The last month I have had weird discharge (Smells) and only lately I have noticed iching.

I had a swab when I first got with him and I was clean, nearly three years later I have all this. If I got anything then hes cheated because I havent! im really scared now. I looked on websites for symptoms and I only got two of the symptoms.

Which I know some people dont have any. Please tell me the truth if what I said sounds like an STD or some other "natural" infection.

It could be a simple bacterial infection like Bacterial Vaginitis. I know I have had that recently and it has a really bad fish like scent when you are bathing or usually after sex; yet, I have met women who have had the scent with them all the time and it was BV.
Now, you could have Bacterial Vaginitis, Yeast Infection, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea or even Trich. All are easily cured with antibotics so there is no concern there.
BV, YI and Trich can be all caused in a comitted relationship without cheating to be considered. I have spoken to many medical professionals who have found that Trich can lay dormant for years like HPV can and many mongamus couples have had it.
As for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea - if you have been in this relationship for three years sexually, it's highly doubtful he had it before he came into the relationship. Both diseases have been known to to clear themselves from the body (YES, this is TRUE but not in ALL CASES and NOT RECOMMENDED) and after four years of being left untreated, they only found it in 1-2% of women. I cannot say if you have these two infections that your partner cheated, it's not my place but I think you two would need to sit down and have a very frank and serious talk if you came out positive.

Good Luck.

Go and get yourself checked out, it may be something simple but if it isnt then it is better to get it treated as soon as possible. Deal with things once you get the results and not before.

Sounds like thrush or if you have changed any of your bathing products this could be the cause.

If your still unsure it doesn't hurt to get tested for piece of mind

I didnt think that Chlamydia had any outward signs, but then little do I know. To me its sounds like an infection ( maybe, proably STD) Glad you had the sense to get it checked out, and the fact that you know you were "Clean" several years ago, and youve only been with your present bf, then there is only one answer and you know what that is>

1- I'm not a woman but I am a doctor, so I apologise now if my answer isn't welcome.
2- This must be a worrying time for you but you are quite right to be concerned. You have done the right thing by seeking help/ advice and getting a swab; that is the only way of getting a clear answer, although you will have to wait a few days for the answer.
3. From what you describe thrush is a possibility. This can be treated but can be very uncomfortable for you in the meantime. Thrush can sometimes be associated with other conditions, such as diabetes or using steroids.
4. STDs are also possible and the most important thing to rule out (to put your mind at rest and then treat the thrush) or confirm (and then get treated- hopefully before any permanent damage has been caused).
5. If your swab confirms that you have an STD, you are right to be concerned about your partner. If you chose to stay with him, then I am sure the doctor/ nurse helping you will advise you not to have unprotected intercourse with him until he has been tested +/- treated.

Good luck, sorry for being a man.

It may be Just a Urinary Tract infection, Drink a lot of cranberry juice it may help
