Bactrim and K flex for MRSA (STAPH INFECTION)? Staying awake constantly.?!
Question: I was just diagnosed with MRSA. My doc has me on bactrim and k flex. I can only sleep for 1 to 2 hours at a time. Has anyone else had these prescriptions and stayed awake constantly? They are an antibiotic. The most sleep all together that I am getting in a 24 hour period is maybe 4 to 5 hours.

If you have MRSA I would call another doctor and ask what he would recommend. To be honest I would have you on something that is stronger. My guess is that you have a boil on your skin, but even then you should be on avelox not keflex. I think you are on the wrong regimen. I do not know of those side effects with those drug, but it might be just your mind on the MRSA. I would suggest taking a benadryll.
damn sis, id rather have a few sleepless nights than MRSA! keep on ur meds and truck on through, believe me dudes would rather see some saggy tired eyes than a big old MRSA wound!
