Answer please :)?!

Question: Is there such a mental illness of being scared of a disease? Before I met my fiance I wasnt the greatest person, and i had a one night stand about a month before dating my fiance. I didnt know the girl very well. About a year later I started gettin little rashes in random spots. Nothing on my "wing wang" but just random places. About a month after the one night stand I got sicker than a dog, and about a 4 months after me and my fiance did it, she got sick for like a day. I thoght I had HIV and went and got tested. Everything came back negative, but I still cant get that out of my head. Has anyone else felt this way?? Is it just my guilt killing me??

Your..."wing wang"? Good lord.

Are you talking about hypochondria? I don't think hypochondria manifests itself in physical ways like a rash. Why on earth would you think a rash was HIV? Didn't you get tested for everything else, too? Good luck. :P

EDIT: LOL I don't think "germaphobia" is a medical term, FYI to the "counselor"!

I really think it's guilt killing you, spots are just...spots and being sick could of been a bug or virus.

Is this germaphobia? Having been struck by invisable germs, you are really scared of getting more. Realize that you are more sensible now, and are not living in the dangerous zones. Living in healthy zones and allowing yourself to realize this, should help you out. You are a person who lives within the safety zones. You are no longer the person who strayed into danger zone. You are different now.

Did you just get tested for HIV? Did you have a full std panel done? I will tell you that symptoms of std's do not happen within a 24 hour period of the possible exposure. Your body needs time to sercovent (create antibodies) to fight off the infection.. or try.
The mental issue of being scared or worrisome of a disease is called hypochondria and when you obsess over something like a disease your body can actually create some of the symptoms.

Yet, you mention a spotted rash over random parts of your body. Syphilis's 2nd stage makes mention of rashes forming over random areas of the body, however, it is supposedly to happen 4-12 weeks after infection.
Either way, just for your peace of mind I would have a full std panel run.

Good Luck.
