What to do with dry skin after breast reduction?!

Question: Had a breast reduction Nov. 21st. Am overjoyed! But am getting patches of dry skin on my right breast (right, only). My doctor told me to use Maderma to reduce scarring and a moisturizer, which I have been doing (using Vasoline Intensive Care). But have gotten, out of nowhere, a patch of dry skin about as big as a dime that I cannot get rid of. It has gotten bad enough to shed and scab over and the scab only sheds everyday in the tub, making the area more irritated. Also tried using Neosporin (sp?) too... Help please? I'm afraid this is going to leave a bad scar and it's not even close to an incision line... And, yes, I do smoke.

I would get to the PS asap.

Smoking while healing and smoking while having a breast reduction IS BAD, your PS should have told you this.

I would make an appointment asap before things get much worse. I've seen HORRID pictures of post op breasts because people do not understand you need to stop smoking months before your surgery and not take it up until you are FULLY healed (which can take up to a year to do).

Call the PS up QUICK!
