I don't know if this normal!?!

Question: I have discovered a tender spot on the back of my head. Its next to my ear, about 1 1/2 away. It's a tender spot that feels hard, I can't move it. It kinda just feels like my skull, but the other side of my skull is smaller. The more I touch it the more sore it feels so I'm trying not to touch it much. I did not bump my head on anything.
Could this be a cyst that feels hard and doesn't move?
Could a tumor under my skull make my skull a bit larger and bumpier than the other side?
Any ideas what it can be!?
I can't rush to the doctor cuz I don't have insurance at this time!

This swelling could be just as simple as a swollen lymph node. While the swelling alone may not be anything to worry about, it is caused by another problem. Something as simple as a common cold can cause swelling of the lymph nodes but more severe problems can cause the same thing.

The lymph nodes most likely to swell due to infection are the ones behind your ears, armpits, and groin. They do become tender and sometimes feel warm to the touch.

My last experience with a swollen lymph node was when a tick that was carrying lyme disease attached itself in my hair. The lymph node is what tipped us off that something was wrong and with the help of my doctor, we were able to remove the tick before the spread of the disease was too serious.

Most infections subside in two weeks, along with lymph nodes. Since you are in a bind with insurance, if it persists any longer than that, i would see a doctor immediately.

sounds to me like ur stressed. when im stressed i sometimes imagine all sorts, i'd say you are perfectly fine, tkae it easy and no i do not hink u have anythign wrong. take it easy and breath deeply
