They are both bacterial infections. Herpes is caused by a virus. Herpes causes blisters in and around the genital area. Gonorrhea and chlamydia sometimes have no symptoms. But if they do it will be discharge, irritation, abnormal bleeding, fever, itching and pain during urination.
