HIV Positive and You?!
Question: Are you an HIV positive person? If so, how did you react after learning that you had contacted the virus that produces AIDS? How did you manage? Did you tell anyone? If so, what was their reaction?

I've been HIV+ since June 2003.
I initially took it pretty bad and spent most days and nights drinking with my friends, trying to block it out.
Most of my friends took it well but prospective boyfriends? That's another story... I did however met my husband and he accepted me warts and all.
My ex boyfriend told a lot of people about my status and I remember one time I was at a pub with another HIV+ friend and one of my ex's friends came up to my said friend and said "Be careful with her - she has AIDS". I thought that was pretty f$cked up.
But now, I really couldn't give a $hit what people think about me. If they don't like it, go away! It's no loss to me.
I was tested for the first time the other day, it was the most intense 10 minutes of my life.
Luckily, I'm negative. I'm sorry if you're positive, it's a very hard thing to live with. If you need someone to talk to, email me = )

i cryed thinking i was gonna die but then i learend there was help and it didntn mean i wood die it was very hard to learn that i have hiv but my boy friend gave it to me and he didnt no he had it eaither i still some times cry not noing whats gonna happen looked for outhers so i chould talk with them dont want my friends to no because they might not undestand my famley knows because i told my brother and asked him not to say any thing and he told my famly i cryed because i trusted him and i was not ready to tell them but i guss it was for the best i need some friends that understand this
