Can you catch aids by...?!

Question: If you look at someone who has aids is it possible to catch it, because my friend said it was.

Answers: If you look at someone who has aids is it possible to catch it, because my friend said it was.

yes. Why my one friend got aids from looking at something that someone with aids looked at.

Its best to just close your eyes all the time.

crikey...what planet is your friend on?? - NO is the answer!!

Does mummy know you're playing on her computer?

no, thatss so stupid ! dude, how old are you ? dumb question you wasted oo5 points for diss ? wow !

your friend is either realy stupid or was lying you can only get it through fluid exchange with another person i.e. blood exchange or having sex

bahahahahha, i dont know much about aids, but i know that is inpossible!!!!!!!! was ur friend on something? lol jks

IDIOT

no! the only way to catch the HIV positive virus is by mixing your blood with theirs. so you can even kiss someone with HIV so long as neither of you have any sores in your mouth, you also have to always wear protection during sexual intercourse.
but no you would never be able to catch it by 'looking at someone' no way your friend is very wrong and shouldnt be telling people this. please correct them.

no only from toilet seats (only kiddin) you have to exchange body fluids

I think it is time you either started school as you must be under 5 years to ask an ignorant question like that. If over 5 years I suggest you start paying attention in class and learn something or Goodness knows where you will be in a few years. NO is the answer you are looking for

ur friend is a dumbass!

No that is not possible aids is not contagious unless you are sexually active and get HIV. HIV can also be spread from sharing of earring, if that person has AIDS. Your friend is wrong, don't worry about it, that is not true.

no!

Your friend is right. Yes, you can catch AIDS just by looking at someone.

You can also catch it by:

- sharing a toilet seat
- using the same dinners plate, cups, cutlery
- using the same towels
- sharing the same air (make sure you have your air filtered before you breathe)
- being in the same building as an infected person, even if you are in different rooms.

In fact, you can contract AIDS by never ever seeing/touching/being near an infected person.

Grow up, you moron.

No. Simple as.

I cant believe you have wasted 5 points on such a silly question.....both you and your friend need some serious lessons on life

No, of course not. It's passed through bodily fluids such as but not limited to blood, urine and semen.

eh no def not...............

This is a chicken mind question from a 16 year old.

which planet you said you're from?

uoy tnac hctac sdia yb tsuj gnikool ta enoemos ...

Lol - be honest surely you didn't believe them!!!!!

If that was the case everybody would be infected!!

neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................

The answer is to your question, is no, son, only through intimate contact / transfer of bodily fluids.

I don't think this question warranted the rudeness shown in some of the answers, the purpose of Q!A is to help people with knowledge, a question is only "easy" if you know the answer, I know I have called myself (noitall) but that was just to be ironic, do these people really think they do?

ya i am ready friend,

Ok, the answer is NO!! The only way you can get it is from a blood transfusion that has the AIDS viris in it, haveing unprotected sex with someone the has is, shareing the same tooth brush with someone that has is and, if you work in the Medical feild then you run the chance of getting from dirty needles that have benn used on people that have it. Oh, I almost forgot, if you do drugs; you can get it by shareing needles with people that have it & if you snort drugs after some one that has it. I Hope that I have Helped you in some small way!! Good Luck!!!!

Not only is this just plain rubbish, it is the sort of comment that promotes both fear and discrimination.

HIV, the virus that leads to aids, can only be caught by exchange of body fluids. This occurs only in sexual intercourse, needle sharing or needle stick injuries, it can theoretically be caught by spray of body fluids on to mucous membranes, such as a surgeon operating on an HIV positive patient, getting blood sprayed in to his eye.
