Do I have STD?!

Question: Last May 2007, I had unprotected sex. I got tested after 3 months. It was negative.

However, Last December, 2007, I had oral sex. A girl (a stranger) gave me a bl*w job. That was all. Nothing happened except THAT. After that incident, I got another test (which is also 6 months after the unprotected sex mentioned above).

Now, I want to know if I am safe considering that I have been tested for AIDS twice but had oral sex during the 6th month. Am I safe? I think I'm getting paranoid!

The chances of you getting AIDS from saliva are about as slim as you getting it from a public bathroom. Please calm down and have protected sex from now on. Why are you getting so much testing done? Do you feel sick or is it because of anxiety?

you should be ok

I understand you too and am paraniod now : (
I had gave oral sex my first time ever and now I fear I may have a disease...I have no signs but still you know....I get tested tomorrow so wish me luck but what I did happened three weeks ago so I have to go again in 6 months after this is all over am never dating again I swear plus that was not a date am so upset and feel used and feel like a $lut but try to not have sex at all thats the only way.

Oral sex by a stranger.....you have no idea what sores, etc. she might have had. You are not being paranoid...even just oral sex with a stranger and not actual intercourse can cause you to get HIV or another STD so go get retested and stop being so reckless! You may have had a test shortly after that however you still need to get tested for several months after this most recent encounter. If you caught something from her it wouldn't have shown up so soon in a test.

you cannot get HIV or AIDS from saliva BUT if she had a open cut in her mouth, a sore, or even a little broken skin from some chapped lips you could get it if she was infected.

I would recommend you practicing safe sex and getting tested every 3 months - 6 months. HIV can take as long as 6 months after infection to show up.

Actually there is a very small to nill chance of getting HIV from saliva. In one article I read you have to swallow at least 8 liters of saliva to get a 0.0005 chance of getting HIV. But don't be too comfortable since you can get other infections through saliva like sores and CMV infections. Whenever you are not sure about the sexual practices of someone you are going to have sex with (oral or otherwise), always use protection. Some might consider this a hassle but it is better safe than sorry.

not sure but i have heard u can---call ur local health dept and they can tell you---u can also use saran wrap for oral sex either giving or receiving---condoms have a very bad taste

yeh i think you are really paranoid. Just try to relax, and in future always use protection (at least 3 condoms at a time in your case)
