Quincy is an abscess between the back of the tonsil and the wall of the throat. Your poor baby must be very uncomfortable.

Peritonsillar abscess, also called PTA or Quinsy, is a recognised complication of tonsillitis and consists of a collection of pus beside the tonsil (peritonsillar space).
IT IS THE INABILITY TO OPEN THE MOUTH DUE TO A TOSILLAR ABCESS AND CAN MIMIC TETNUS.
