Question: my friend told she might have a std because there is like a cut inside her mouth close to the throat.she got with her guy friend but theres rumors at school that he got with another girl in the lockers. will i am really scared for her. what do u guys think it is? please no dumb answers and act mature..

It depends on what she did with her boyfriend. If they had unprotected oral sex she may be at risk of an STD because she had an open sore. Anytime you have unprotected sex in anyway it is always a great idea to get tested. STD's can spread to the throat via oral contact. You should always use protection or practice abstinence to protect yourself. I would just tell her getting checked is not a bad idea if she had unprotected sex. If nothing else it will ease her mind. Be supportive and encouraging and tell her to dump that looser!

Nothing you've detailed sounds out of the ordinary. This cut may be nothing. If she's that concerned, see a doctor. Even asking the school nurse is an option. The nurse can help ease her mind or refer her on.
